About the Trust

Basingstoke & Deane Community Leisure was formed as a company limited by guarantee on 20th June 2005 and took over the operation of Basingstoke Aquadrome and Tadley Pool on 1 April 2006. The trust achieved charity commission registration in April 2006.

Vision

Our vision is the creation and maintenance of a first class range of healthy leisure and recreational activities and facilities to serve all parts of the community of Basingstoke and Deane.

Scope

We will work in partnership with the community and all relevant bodies including but not restricted to existing providers of relevant leisure and recreational activities, the Local and Parish Councils, County Council and potential funding partners.

Aims and Objectives for 2009/10

• To work with the Borough Council to re-let the contract for the operating agent for the Aquadrome and Tadley Pool.
• To increase childhood activity levels and run projects to help reduce childhood obesity (LAA)
• To enhance existing facilities and review services to ensure that they meet community needs
• Energy conservation and reduction of waste
• To identify potential funding streams and make successful funding applications to raise £25,000
