GP Referral Scheme

What is it?

The GP referral scheme enables your GP to prescribe a course of exercise or activity as part of the rehabilitation process following physical or mental illness.

How do I take part?

The first step is to visit your GP who will issue you with an exercise referral form. Following a successful referral from your GP, Practice Nurse or Consultant you will be asked to contact the GP Referral Instructor on 01256 812563 to arrange your initial appointment.

At your appointment at the Aquadrome you will be given an exercise programme to follow by one of the qualified instructors. Please ensure you wear the appropriate clothing including suitable footwear.

The sessions are £2.95 and GP referral customers can use the Fitness Suite Monday to Sunday from 10.00 - 20.00. The swimming pool is not included in this scheme.
