Workout Classes

Workout classes are a great way to achieve your health and fitness goals – complement your existing workout programme with a technique class or choose from a selection of classes to help you lose weight, tone up or simply feel great. 

The specialist workout studio is home to our team of fitness professionals, delivering course and classes including Body Combat, Body Pump, Spinning, Yoga and many more, so there is always a class to suit you.

Class Descriptions


Aqua

Offered in the swimming pool, this low impact class is an ideal way to improve fitness and muscle tone in a fun and invigorating way. This class is ideal for all fitness levels.

Aqua-jog

A workout which will boost your strength and flexibility without placing any stress on your joints. A low impact aerobic conditioning class.

Body Attack

A simple high intensity group exercise to music class for all fitness levels. You will experience high energy sports training moves for cardiovascular fitness along with upper and lower body conditioning exercises. Body Attack is for everybody with moderate fitness and with simple moves not just for the well co-ordinated.

Body Balance

A class that blends mind and body and combines moves from yoga, tai chi and pilates to create a dynamic class set to music. The class is a great way to sample a bit of everything and a good way of sampling both Yoga and Pilates.

Body Combat

A non contact martial arts based fitness programme with moved drawn from karate, tae kwando, kung fu, kickboxing and tai chi. Each class is choreographed to 10 music tracks providing an exhilarating exercise experience that delivers ultra fast fitness results.

Body Pump

A toning and conditioning class with weights and for anyone who wants to add strength to their aerobic workout. Using a step platform, bar and weights the class is simple to follow developing strength and confidence. Some initial muscle pain is natural but check with your instructor before you start.

Circuits

Circuits is an easy to follow body conditioning class suitable for men and women. All levels welcome.

Studio Cycle

A high energy cycle class that replicates the spinning bike group exercise. High calorie burn without the impact.

Stability Ball

A stability ball andfloor based class working your core muscles.  Working the core is crucial to avoiding injury and sculpting strong, tonedabdominals and back..

TBT

This is an ideal class for new customers who have never tried a workout class before. The focus is on thighs, bums and stomachs to help tone and shape your body.

Pilates

A class based around core strength and awareness to help improve posture, flexibility and tone through the entire body. This class can help alleviate back problems and excellent for post natal mums.

Yoga

Yoga is a mind and body class aimed to improve flexibility, tone and posture. Emphasis on correct breathing leads to relaxation and sense of well-being.

Junior Gym

The gym has beendesigned for children to exercise in their own environment on specificequipment that gives them a safe and a total body workout. The machineshave an intuitive push button resistance selection with no seat setupadjustments and a low starting resistance.

Cardiac Rehab

This programme offers stage 4 rehabilitation for GP referred and recovering patients. See staff for details.
